Ms. Khalisha Hawkins

Executive Director / Founder:

As a devoted mother, dedicated high school educator, active community servant, and proud member of the Illustrious Sorority of Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated, I have always been driven by a passion to serve others. My inspiration stems from childhood memories of witnessing my mother's unwavering commitment to the recovery community.

When my mother retired from her service in 2019, I felt compelled to carry on her legacy. Fueled by her vision and my own desire to make a difference, I took the initiative to rebrand, license, and secure 501c3 status for the organization.

It is immensely fulfilling to honor my mother's legacy by providing individuals struggling with substance use disorder and those reentering society from incarceration with a safe, supportive residential environment. Through our comprehensive programs and services, residents are empowered to embrace healthier lifestyles and reduce the likelihood of returning to previous patterns.

As the Executive Director of Recovery Bound, I consider it my solemn responsibility to ensure that our residents have the opportunity to realize their full potential. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate their reconnection with family, empower their reintegration into society, and foster their transformation into productive, contributing members of our community.
